An Update

It has been too long since I posted an update about our #FightingForMaya efforts.  First, I want to thank you for your love and support. The response has been unbelievable.

We launched this campaign on May 2nd and really didn't know how people would respond. I can assure you that the response has been unparalleled.

In less than 3 months, we have:

-sold a little under 500 #FightingForMaya T-Shirts,

-from t-shirts alone, raised over $7,000, and

-most important, $70,000, of the $200,000 needed, has been donated to the SCAR7 research project at Texas Children's Hospital.

This is absolutely incredible.

We still have work to do, but we really want to thank our friends and family, new and old, near and far for their support.

Thank you for sharing Maya's story when you wear your t-shirt each Friday, raising funds from necklaces, articles, yoga classes, lemonade stands and so much more.

Suzette and I continue to work every angle to help fund this important research for those with SCAR7/TPP1 Deficiency.  We believe strongly in this project and sharing not only our story, but the story of too many families impacted by rare disorders.

As with every Friday, we look forward to seeing your #FightingForMaya selfies and videos.  As a little motivation, here is a link to our ode to the Thursday before #FightingForMaya Friday. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvMUYrY3mGs

Thank you,

Beau and Suzette
